Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church is located in the panhandle of Nebraska, in the town of Alliance, population about 9,000.  Immanuel is a member of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS) and serves a congregation of 700+ from Alliance and the surrounding area.

Mission Statement - Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church exists to proclaim Jesus Christ to our families, our community, and our world. Therefore we must be His own (growing faith relationship), live under Him in His kingdom (involved in the faith community), and serve Him by serving our neighbor (physically and spiritually) in daily life both as individuals and as a congregation.

Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church was established in 1911. As Lutherans, we adhere to Martin Luther's interpretation of the Bible which can be summarized in three phrases:  Scripture Alone, Grace Alone and Faith Alone.

Scripture Alone - We believe the entire Bible, the Old Testament and the New Testament is the only norm and authority for all matters of faith and life.

Grace Alone - We believe salvation is a free gift from God, totally undeserved and unearned. Jesus Christ suffered God's wrath for us with His death on the cross and canceled our sins in God's sight.

Faith Alone - We believe God works faith in us through Scriptures and the sacraments. Those who believe in Jesus as their Savior live with the assurance of eternal life in heaven.

Immanuel offers a number of Bible studies for adults, Sunday school, midweek classes and youth groups for the youth and children, a quilter's guild, choir and much more, enabling everyone to grow in the word and proclaim the love of Christ.

Immanuel also sponsors the Sunday radio program "The Lutheran Hour" on KCOW 1400 at 9:00 AM and KCSR 620 at 8:00 AM. Para El Camino-The Spanish Lutheran Hour is aired on KCOW at 9:30 each Sunday morning.
